Hello lovelies. I do apologize for not blogging last night during my scheduled night. I had to put my dog down this weekend, and it was beyond difficult. My brain has been very scattered since then.

I will do a full post Wednesday, but tonight I will simply ask you all wonderful lovelies to please keep up with your outfits. Seeing all your wonderful, creative outfits makes me very happy.

Free Contest Giveaway

Good evening lovelies! I hope you all are having a lovely week wherever you are.

This week, I've decided to put together something very different for you all. Tonight is my very first Free Contest Giveaway!

I have worked on this for the past few weeks with one of the head directors at CSN.com. They have an AMAZING website filled with anything you could ever imagine a place could have for decorative accessories. They have; furniture, storage containers, bar stools, wall hangings, bed stuff, etc. Their site has more stuff than you could ever hope to imagine! It's like a massive accessory store for your house and office!

The prize I have chosen for this contest is the:

Thomas Paul Bali Pillow in Green

Retail Value: $19.00

For those that know me closely, this pillow is no surprise since I am obsessed with elephants. Trust me though, I chose this not for myself, but for everyone else. (I can't win my own prize, that would just be selfish) I believe that this pillow will make an excellent addition to any home, any decor, and any lifestyle. The striking yet simple color scheme makes it very easy to mix and match with any decor style one might have.

If this pillow is by chance not your style, think of your friends and family. Somebody will appreciate this as a gift, and since this pillow is free to the winner of my contest, it never hurts to try. Pillows are an excellent out-of-the box gift idea. Nobody expects to receive a pillow, but everyone loves receiving a cool pillow that they can show off at home, or just lounge on.

The Contest

A week and a half ago, I posted the predicted trends for 2010 with my own examples of how to wear each one.

For this contest, I want each of you to create an outfit using at LEAST ONE or more of the trends that I predicted for $50 or less. You can use more than one trend if you so choose, but I need to see at least one of the trends in your outfit.

Rules & Guidelines:

- You can not use any of the pieces that I used in my post to show examples of the trends. You must find your own pieces to use in your outfit.

- You will have 2 weeks to complete this outfit. I know that most of you work full time or have school and work, so you will have 2 weeks. The contest starts this evening and ends 2 Sundays from now, January 31st.

- Your outfit will be judged upon your originality and creativity with the use of trends.

- Your outfit can NOT go more than 50 cents over $50. If it does, I will not accept it.

- All submissions must be sent to: confessionsofachocoholic@yahoo.com before midnight on January 31st.

- For submitting, please include everything in the body of the email. I will not open attachments.

~ For Online Pieces:
* You must include the link to each item
* You must include the total for your outfit at the bottom.

~ For In-Store Pieces:
* You must include a picture of the item and the price tag. Make sure the tags are visible in the pictures. If I can't make out what the price is, it won't be accepted.
* You must include which store the item is from
* You must include a total for your outfit at the bottom

- Each submission also needs to include your complete shipping address and phone number.

- Each outfit MUST include at LEAST 4 pieces.

For Men's (Must Include):

- Shoes
- Pants OR Shorts
- Shirt
- Belt AND/OR Accessories

For Women's (Must Include):

- Shoes
- Shirt & Pants OR Skirt OR Shorts OR Dress (If you choose to do a dress, you will need a piece of jewelry as well)
- Purse

I will be on a trip from January 29th until February 1st. The moment I am home, I will go through your emails and choose a winner. Wednesday, the 3rd, my post will be dedicated to the winner of the contest. I will announce the winner and show off their outfit.

Once I've chosen the winner, I will give your shipping address and phone number to the director at CSN to place the order. It will take about 5-7 days to ship, and then about 5-7 days after that to be delivered. So if you win, expect your gorgeous pillow in about 2 weeks.

And then you or your friend/family member can enjoy this gorgeous pillow (and make everyone else jealous in the process that you got it for FREE!)

Good luck lovelies!!!

For the love of Jones

Good evening lovelies! Several of my male friends have asked why I haven't done a post devoted to men yet. This evening, my friend Jones finally persuaded me to dive in and test my skills. This is my first time doing a men's post, so this is a lot of fun and very challenging.

I understand exactly why he asked though. Unfortunately, from what I've seen, men's clothes are always so much more expensive than women's. I don't know why that is, but I am determined to shed some new light on the subject!

Men's Look for Less

Calvin Klein Full-Zip Sweater: $9.99

I think this sweater is absolutely gorgeous and it looks very toasty. I think I'm going to get this for my friend for his birthday.....

30 MM Canterbury Braided Leather Belt: $4.99

Gorgeous, cheap, and totally functional, what more could you ask for?

Decree Straight Leg Jeans: $19.99

I'm sure everyone can agree, nothing is more sexy and smart than a well-fitting pair of jeans on a man.

Merona Romie Canvas Twin Gore: $9.99

I love the contrast of the print against the darker colors in the outfit. These shoes look comfortable and make the outfit cool without sacrificing your paycheck.

Total: $44.96

There you have it lovelies! A fantastic, toasty outfit for not even $45! Go be stylish with your bad self.

Get Demi's look for less!

Good morning lovelies! I hope you all are sleeping soundly. I unfortunately had a bit of a hair disaster and now I'm planning on how to fix it. Tip for the future ladies: If you're going to dye your hair and you have black or super dark hair like mine, leave on the color for as long as you can possibly stand. I believe that is the only way to achieve the color on the bottle.

As you all know though, last week there was that major award show. I found some of the hottest looks, and I narrowed it down to Demi Lovato's look. She looked AMAZING!

Demi Lovato's Look

I personally LOVE this outfit. I think she looks absolutely stunning, and the color combination is very classic and chic, but the cuts are very modern and sexy.

Look For Less

Embossed Bow Bet: $3.80

Lace Ruffle Sweater Dress: $16.99

Miss Me Dazzle Slingback Ornament Heels: $15.98

Sterling Silver Bead Strand: (2) $11.85

Total: $48.63

Now I know that the dress I chose is a bit darker than the one that Demi had on, but I personally feel, like the color of the dress is wearing, that this color is fantastic as well and looks great on everyone.

Also for you lovelies, I found the most amazing steal! You will love this, trust me!

HOT Internet Deal!!!

Rachel Rachel Roy 23 Hour Velvet Dress: $34.99

This dress caught my eye immediately. I would wear this anywhere and everywhere, and you really can. Throw it on with some tights and a sweater and it's good for work, and loose the sweater, add some heels and you've got an awesome evening outfit! Plus, I feel this shape, color, and length is incredibly flattering on almost everyone.

Hottest Trends for 2010 for $50 or less

Good evening lovelies! I hope you all are having a marvelous week and nothing has happened to make your new year bad so far. I also hope you all got to see the lovely fashion that was modeled down the red carpet for the People's choice awards. On Sunday I'll do a post to recreate a look from there, but today, I have trends for you!

I've been searching the web for you lovelies and I have found this years predicted trends, thanks to a lovely video on msn which I can no longer find. When I find that video though, the link will be posted immediately!

Trends 2010

- Denim head to toe
- Denim in accessories
- DIY feel / Arts & Crafts
- Brooches
- Clogs
- Small purses
- Mix & Match motifs
- Lingerie cuts

The funny thing about a lot of these trends is that they're just so practical. Small purses are my jam; they're just so much more convenient than large purses. Think about it; you don't have to worry about filling up a large purse and there's none of that extra weight on your shoulder. I've also always been a fan of the brooch. They're the easiest way to dress up a sweater or t-shirt or jacket without having to think about it.

Mix & Match though I will say lovelies shouldn't be just a trend, it should be a way of life. Matchy-matchy is just so boring. Spice up life with a few unusual prints thrown in! Have some unusual colors in accessories, don't be afraid to get funky!

$50 or Less
Denim Head to Toe

Now, before you all get very excited that you can finally wear your denim jackets and jeans together without being given the stink eye, remember lovelies; different shades. Matching the shades is just too much. Do a dark shade with a light shade with a medium wash.

(This is not an outfit, these are just pieces I found for inspiration.)

PASCERI Low women's denim heel: $17.49

Denim AND comfortable AND cute. Do these shoes need any more explination?

Doki Geki Chambray Blazer: $46.00

Absolutely adorable and will go with anything.

Triple Diamond Earrings: $14.99

These are the must fun pair of denim anything I have ever seen. Very 80's, but without the awful hair included.

Studded Denim Tube Dress: $39.99

Ok, this seriously is just too damn cute. You can wear this in the summer with some wedges, or you can wear it now with tights and boots with a jacket. Really, this is for any time of the year.

Lingerie Clothing

The lingerie trend is very sexy and very fun. Sheer pieces and very low-cut, silky pieces are completely in. You can wear it to work or out, it just depends on how you accessorize.

Multi-Strap Dress: $39.99

This dress is just absolutely stunning. I love the way it falls and the detail of the back straps.

Population Silk Blouse: $23.99

Needless to say, I want it. How can one go wrong with a sheer black blouse? Exactly; one can't.

London Time's Women Sheer Pieced Dress: $20.99

The perfect LBD that is super sexy yet still refined. DO wear this out. DON'T forget that you're fabulous.

Finally! Cute and comfy can now be one in the same and not be shunned!

Betseyville Leslie Clogs: $43.97

Betsey Johnson + Heeled Clogs = OH MY GOD, PERFECTION!

LIVASY Clogs: $11.89

These are the perfect little clogs to slip on if you're running errands and still want to look chic. The metal studs keep them from being dull and adds a bit of attitude, and who doesn't like attitude and comfort?

White Mountain Burnished Leather Clogs: $35.40

This caramel color is just so absolutely beautiful. These are perfect for any time of the year, but especially now. These clogs are from White Mountain, so they're made to last and made to be comfortable. Go be stylish with your bad self!

One of my favorite types of accessories. There's something so special about brooches and the way they can make any outfit from great to amazing.

Bejeweled Floral Brooch: $34.00

This looks like an heirloom from a great great grandparent. This is also absolutely perfect for that finishing touch.

Song Bird Brooch: $26.00

This is an amazing eye-catching brooch. Definitely not for those who don't want a bold brooch. This is the perfect accessory to make a statement in. Wear it with a LBD or a sweater and jeans; it will make you the center stage.

Flying Spectre Brooch: $12.00

A small funky brooch in neutral colors is the perfect subtle way to break into the brooch trend without feeling uncomfortable.

Mix & Match

This is my favorite trend since I do this daily. I don't like to match. I never have and I never will.

(This is an outfit this time)

Mossimo Supply Juniors Pullover: $12.58

A fun, funky little pullover. Do proceed with style.

Mossimo Crossbody Lavender Bag: $8.04

A gorgeous little bag for any and all. Pastels are never too much, but always in demand.

Pleated Linen Skirt: $9.99

The perfect pink skirt. Not too short, not too long, easy to dress up, easy to dress down. This shade is flattering on every skin tone and oh so fun to wear!

Spotted Leopard Flats: $19.99

Every girl needs a pair of adorable leopard flats in their closet. Not those china flats, but honest to god flats. They go with everything and are the perfect go-to shoe besides the black ballet flat. Yes we can.

Total: $50.60

And that, my lovelies, is how you mix & match.

Small Purses

Like I said; convenient, cute, and no more shoulder pain! YAAAY!!!

Guess Blondie Crossbody Bag: $35.99

Purple is such a flattering color for a purse, and the silver embellishment on the front is the perfect touch of regal perfection. This purse is a must-have!

Main St. Mini Cross-over purse: $18

The perfect crossbody bag in the most charming shade of caramel. This will go with anything and the more worn it gets, the more rich and lovely it will look.

Sculpted Hardcase Purse: $24.99

This is honestly such a fun purse. You can wear this during the day if you want to get funky and pair with a cool sweater and some jeans to add some bling, and then you can take it straight to night.

Arts & Crafts/ DIY

This is the cutest trend. I adore DIY-styled things. They add such a lovely personal touch to any outfit or wardrobe. Just make sure that if you're going to do DIY clothing and accessories to not go overboard. You don't want to look like you live in an arts & crafts store.

Lily Pad Headband: $22.00

Finally! A cute headband in neutral colors! I have been searching high and low for a beautiful headband that doesn't blend in with the crowd yet still goes with everything. You're welcome.

Softspoken Cowl in Lilac: $36.00

The prettiest shade of lilac and the coolest looking cowl have now finally come to be one. This will look amazing and keep you warm. Cowls just rock.

Vintage Candy Pop Hairclips: $10.00

Don't feel like putting a full-on barrette or bow in your hair? Here's your answer. These little vintage hairclips are the perfect dose of adorable and vintage chic without being too overpowering.

Good morning/evening (depending on where you are) lovelies! I hope you all had a lovely week resting and getting all those clearance goodies.

I have some fantastic news for you all: Zac Posen and Jean Paul Gaultier are in the works to make lines for Target! Yes, you read correctly, Jean Paul Gaultier himself will be creating a line for Target. The exact date for when this collection will hit stores is still in the works, but I promise you all, you will be the first to know when I find out.

Sarah Jessica Parker

"Did you hear about the Morgans?" Premier

I personally ADORE this outfit. I think her combination of colors is fresh, and her necklace is very unexpected yet still elegant and funky.

The Clothes

Alright lovelies, there you have it: an amazing Sarah Jessica Parker outfit for only $50!
