I was sent an inspiration photo tonight that was so pretty I couldn't pass it up. I love dramatic brown/bronzey looks, so this was really fun for me to re-create. The lipstick is more of a pinky-nude than a true nude like in the photo. Despite my photo's appearance that my makeup is much softer than the inspiration photo, it is actually just as dark and intense - the lighting washed it out tonight a little bit sadly.

So last night while in bed I decided to browse through Pinterest (a common occurrence) and I found an interesting picture of a model with a backwards-esque eyeshadow look. Normally how you go from corner and then go big outwards towards the end of your eyebrow, they had done it backwards in one intense hue. It was so bold and so inspiring that I decided to create my own version. Since the look is backwards, I did dark pink in the corner and smoked out to a light pink at the outter corners. The inner corners of my eye are sharp and harsh, but as it transitions into the soft pink I softened it and blended it out. Of course I smoked the bottom out too. I put an orange/magenta pigment on the inner corners of my eye, so I decided to pull out my OCC lip tar that I've only used once - this gorgeous shimmering burnt orange-y color. 

I feel a little punk rock, a little Effie Trinket, and a little David Bowie today, and I kinda like it.

My obnoxious duck face is there so it doesn't seem like I take myself too seriously, because honestly, for every serious picture I've taken for my blog, I've taken about 25 goofy ones right after it. (Also the duck face is to hide that I'm wicked sunburned under my makeup) I got this gloss in my Ipsy bag a few months ago and have worn in less than a handful of times. It smells very pretty, and is a bit of a thicker gloss. I like it because it's long wearing and doesn't leave that awkward residue on your lips that some glosses do. It's a very pretty, soft shimmery pink.
