I love this color like whoa, but I realized when I was looking through my collection that this nude is one I haven't worn very much. The eyeliners I used today are Lorac as well, and I just thought it would be really fun to try something a little more unusual for my eye look. My eye look is a cobalt blue liner on the outter half of my eyes, and a gold eyeliner on the inner half, both on top and on bottom. The lipstick, even though I haven't worn it that much, is actually one of my favorites. It goes on so perfectly and is such a great nude for my skin tone.

30 Days of Lips + Looks: Day 2 "Autumn Darling"
Day 2: "Autumn Darling" - NYX Butter Lipstick "Hunk"
I got this lipppie in my Ipsy bag a few months ago and I've been dying to wear it ever since. I've heard a lot of great things about the NYX butter lipsticks so I was excited when I woke up this morning because I knew I was going to try this one out today. I love bronze and deep purple so I thought the two would work really nicely together. It goes on smoothly, like butter. It felt so nice on the lips. While the color is pigmented, it is slightly sheer, so I needed about 2 layers to have a really solid color on, but it could be used as only one layer for a more sheer color look.

30 Days of Lips + Looks: Day 1 "Barbie Girl"
If anyone has read some of my previous lip product posts, then you've read/seen that I am slightly obsessed with lip products. Okay, not slightly, REALLY obsessed. However, I find myself gravitating towards certain colors again and again. Along from my lips, my eyeshadow situation is very similar to my lip situation. I love bold, fun colors, but guess what happens on a day-to-day basis....I gravitate towards very similar colors and looks. The problem is that it's easy for me to fall into a rut with my makeup, and so I decided to challenge myself for the next 30 days to put together interesting lip & eye looks every single day to push myself to get better and more creative.
Day 1: "Barbie Girl" - Covergirl Lipstick "Siren"
I bought this color a couple months ago and I haven't worn it yet. For this challenge I wanted to hit the ground running and go bold right out of the gate with something I haven't played with yet. This pink is awesome for the summer and I felt instantly more confident the second I put it on. It has pretty little gold flecks in it and is very pigmented. I felt really Barbie in this shade, so I decided to go with the theme and attempt a modern-day wearable Barbie look. Barbie is super girly with her eyes and lips, but the rest of her look is always pretty simple so I filled in my eyebrows just a little and kept it simple everywhere else, aside from the eyes and lips of course.

Rosewater & Glycerin: Review
About a month ago I was on a mission: I had ran out of my MAC Fix + and my skin was beginning to show it. MAC Fix + had been my holy grail: it made my eyeshadows look better, my skin look brighter AND more calm, but I didn't want to spend so much again on a product with so many chemicals. I started hunting after hearing through the grapevine about rosewater sprays, and at the top of every "Recommended List", I found Heritage Store's Rosewater & Glycerin Spray. It had great reviews and cost less than $5, so I decided to try it out.
The price came to $10 with shipping and handling, which is still less than half the cost of the MAC Fix +, and instead of having to drive somewhere it came right to my door. This product can't be used with putting on makeup, but what it can't do for my shimmery shadows, it more than makes up for with how it helps my skin. The bottle says "Use as a face and body lotion whenever the skin needs soothing and protection", which threw me off at first because it is definitely NOT a lotion. The spray isn't as thin as water though - it's a slightly thicker consistency. It feels amazing on the skin; it has an almost cooling sensation when first applied. My skin has been breaking out lately due to late nights, early mornings and a whole lot of divorce stress. Thank goodness for meditation and this rosewater spray! I've had some nights at work where I could feel my skin starting to freak out, but then a few spritzes of this and it instantly calms back down.
The ingredients are:
"Vor-mag water (Water that has been vortexed and magnetized to raise the energy to a higher vibration that we believe to e more beneficial), natural vegetable glycerin and Hydrosessential rose flower oil."
I've never experienced vor-mag water or flower oil before, and I was initially hesitant about putting oil on my face, but after using it for a few weeks I'm hooked. This product has the prettiest smell when sprayed, and on top of that it's been beneficial for more than just my face. Sometimes if I'm super stressed I break out in a stress rash. Lately nothing's been helping it go away, until I started using this spray on it and now it's almost completely gone after less than a week of using the spray on it.
On top of that, this product is eco-friendly and cruelty-free. If your skin is sensitive like mine, this product will help tremendously, and even if it's not, this is THE best face mist I've tried.

Urban Decay 24/7 Liquid Eyeliner: Review + Lookbook
While growing up certain beauty aesthetics were engrained into me as a sort of "Don't Do" bible. Each time we passed by the beauty aisle or I would play in my mother's makeup I was reminded of those rules as a warning, as if some glittery makeup goddess would bestow bad eyebrow days on me if I disobeyed. Of course, as a young teen and being told "Don't do that" only made me want to do it even more, and as I've gotten older and developed my own style I've rebelled against one rule in particular:
***Pink around the eyes makes you look sick/diseased***
As soon as I was out on my own in college I dove into variations of browns, pinks, blues and greys and I am happy to say that pink eyeshadow is one of my best friends. I'm so drawn to pink now as an adult that when I saw the Urban Decay 24/7 Liquid Eyeliner in the shade "Woodstock" on sale, my heart skipped a beat. The shade is a beautiful deeper sparkly coral that's perfect for the summer months. Instead of just doing a regular review about whether or not I like the product and how it wore, I decided to create 2 different eye looks using the eyeliner because I love it so dern' much.
Look #1 Half-eye cat flick
A very simple, easy half-eye cat flick. Since my eyes are smaller I like to start at the middle of the eye with eyeliner and then draw it out to the side since I've noticed it creates the illusion of larger eyes. The eyeshadow shades underneath the liner are lighter pinks and dusty mauves with a shimmery pink in the corner of my eye to draw light to it and create the illusion of a wider eye. I went very light on the eyeshadow application to give just a gentle base contrast for the bright pink eyeliner. My trusty NYX concealer under my eyes and one coat of Calvin Klein mascara completed the look.
Look #2: Double Liner Happiness
This was a tricky look for me as I've never really done a really big bold eyeliner, and I'm sure you can see I don't have the steadiest hands. I love contrasting two colors like this so I might continue to try to push myself with more challenging looks like this in the future. Practice makes perfect, and clearly I need a lot of practice! :-P
Overall Review:
Urban Decay's 24/7 Liquid Eyeliner is very easy to use, and of course the packaging is adorable. It goes on quickly and it STAYS on. I accidentally rubbed my eyes more than once, and my eyeshadow shifted but not the eyeliner. It applies very smoothly and it's effortless to create any kind of shape you want due to the thin application brush that comes with it. The color itself is bright but it's not a neon "I'm going to a rave after this" bright. It's a really beautiful bold pink and the sparkles add a nice hint of shimmer in the light. The ONLY bad thing about this liner, if you can't already tell from the picture above, is that you have to go sparingly with it or it can get a little...clumpy.
The price is absolutely worth it due to the quality of this product. This shade probably isn't for everyone, but if you're looking for a formula for a great liquid eyeliner, I recommend going for the Urban Decay 24/7 in another shade. I've tried different brands of liquid eyeliner with a brush before and I've got to say this is my favorite to date.
